“RESPONSIBILITY” IS NOT AN ABSTRACT TERM
We adopt the ISO 14001 environmental management system. We buy cotton from those who produce it with respect. Our collections are “Animal Friendly”, from hats to shoes. It is not as much having drawn up a Code of Conduct that makes us “green” as actions that have substance, like the zero impact eco-warehouse, the samples reduction, the recycled plastic adopted for our hangers. Protecting children, people and the environment is a more concrete responsibility than ever.

A sustainable growth
project
"At the heart of our sustainability strategy is the commitment to create items that last over time," , says Giovanni Basagni, who was appointed Knight of Labor in 2013 by Giorgio Napolitano, then President of the Italian Republic. Miniconf aims to harmonize sustainability with business, and the solution is closer than it seems: the more durable a garment is, the less waste is produced, especially in children's fashion, where clothing must withstand intense use. In 2023, Miniconf not only celebrated its first 50 years in business but also voluntarily published its first Sustainability Report. This document highlights a 20-year journey and reaffirms the company's ongoing commitment to sustainability and transparency. Looking ahead to 2025, Miniconf will launch "Infinite Love," a project that unites sustainability and business. The initiative emphasizes that the longer a garment lasts, the greater its value can be expressed and shared between mothers and children, reducing waste and delaying disposal.

Miniconf People,
our human capital
We wonder how Miniconf can make each person’s path better. Working is not only a race for results: how you fell in the company affects the quality of life then the people’s work. If the working environment trusts you, listens to your needs and enhances as a professional person, such well-being is created that people become strategic drivers. The Welfare Program includes actions that make the balance between life and work sustainable: flexible schedules, access to part-time, company canteen, preferential access to the municipal nursery school for the children of employees, harmonization between school and work timetables.
Miniconf Academy,
tailor made training
All human resources can get involved and grow, from the new entry and junior up to seniors with may years of experience. As an internal training school, Miniconf Academy wants to develop and consolidate the skills of every professional worker and proposes a personalized training that enhances the individual path. Field training is also provided and thought for single-brand store staffs, sales networks and multi-brands trade. To date there are 200 hundred hours annual training, 170 persons involved, 20 internal and external teachers, 10 customized training modules. Challenges: renewal of skills and “reallocation of skills”.

Loving the environment and people,
without ifs and buts
What did we choose? A zero-impact photovoltaic system that powers the 2800 square metre eco-warehouse and other buildings. We use ecologic hangers only, 100% recycled and recyclable PET made. Filtered water points replaced plastic water bottles vending machines throughout the company plant. Reducing waste policies, less samples and more 3D and digital materials were implemented. Everything is described in our Commitment Manifesto, with concrete goals in the medium and long term thought to minimize the company’s impact on the environment.
Not “where” but “how”
is it made
We wrote and spread with conviction along the entire supply chain a Code of Conduct; adhering to the code means rejecting chid labour, combat all forms of discrimination, ensure safety, have the utmost respect for the environment, according to our EN ISO 14001 environmental certification. Moreover, we demand the same from collaborators, partners, clients and suppliers. There is a specific Auditing Program to verify that guidelines are respected.
